When John Cadbury first made drinking chocolate in Birmingham in 1824 using a simple pestle and mortar, he could never have dreamt that his family business would become one of the world's biggest and best loved chocolate manufacturers.
Cadbury Flake is a bar of thinly folded milk chocolate.
The product was first developed in 1920 by an employee of Cadburys, when the excess from the chocolate moulds was drained off, it fell off in a stream and created folded, flaky chocolate. As a result, no two Flake bars are exactly the same!
