The original Scottish biscuit maker was McVitie & Price, Ltd. established in 1830 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Hobnobs brand was launched in 1985 and, subsequently, McVitie's created a milk chocolate variant followed by dark (plain) chocolate and Hobnob Creams.
Hobnobs are an excellent source of fibre and, recently, Hobnobs have measurably reduced their sodium and saturated fat contents.
