This traditional Chinese tea is made by "smoking" the tea over wood fires. This particular blend has a dark color and deep flavor. It can be served hot or iced, with or without milk. Tea planters all over mainland China and the neighbouring island of Formosa have their own special ways of creating the unique, smoky taste which makes Lapsang tea so distinctive. Taylors favours the classic Lapsang style from northern Formosa.
