Shipping/Returns

We are continuing to tweak our shipping rates to be as equitable as possible. Bridgham & Cook is based up in Maine, far away from much of the rest of the US, so shipping can be quite expensive.

And, unless we weigh all our products (easy for food items, far more difficult for non-food items) our shipping charges will remain based on price range, while the shipping companies' rates are weight-based.

As a result, there are occasional gaps between what we charge you and what we pay the shipper. To narrow these gaps, we will REFUND you for any shipping charge that exceeds $3.00 over what we end up paying.

Please note that UPS does not accept P.O. Box addresses.
Also note that we take online orders from the 48 contiguous United States only.
If you live in Hawaii or Alaska, please call us at 207-865-1040 and we will be happy to take your order.

In the rare circumstance where your package weighs over 20 pounds and/or needs an oversized box and is being shipped a long distance, we may contact you regarding a surcharge.

(The yellow zone includes: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, and NJ.)

 Lost in Transit, Damaged Goods, and Returns

For lost or damaged packages, please call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS immediately and also notify us within 24 hours so that a claim can be made. 

Be sure to let us know ASAP if there is a problem with any of your goods or if you plan to be returning something. You may exchange merchandise within 30 days of date of purchase. For large, complicated orders, we may charge a restocking fee. Clothing must have tags attached and have not been worn. Please understand that food products cannot be returned.

In most cases, you are responsible for return shipping charges or refused packages.

Please note that we are not responsible for damage caused by the weather, such as melting or freezing.
