Your e-mail and/or street addresses only join our database when you place an order, and no part of that information is ever exchanged or sold.  Never, ever.

The two brothers who own this business - Bob and Bill Bussey - are native Mainers who prefer cautious and low-key business practices.  In recent years, the company has mailed two very modest promotional pieces, in late spring and late October, to our several thousand mail-order customers.  We plan to keep to this pattern.  Possibly, now that we have online ordering, we may come to use e-mail announcements for special sales, but that is not for this year.  In short, we will not flood you with sales material and will not give others the chance to do so either.

A customer is kept on our mailing list for three years from the date of his or her last order, unless we are asked to remove a name, which we will do immediately.

As for your credit card information, you may be certain that we guard it carefully.  We use SSL technology (secure server software) through Verisign.  It encrypts all your personal information, which includes credit card number, name, and address, so that none of it can be read as the information travels over the Internet.
